how do we get a Mortgage,my boyfriend and i dont have great credit history?
we have fair credit rating,we both work and are responsible.Can you advise us a better way to go about getting a mortgage.I dont trust our bank to give us ,are there any companies or maybe better banks which are not so strict?Thanks!
Unfortunately, this probably isn’t going to happen.
You can check with local lenders to see if you can get a better rate or a loan that isn’t based on credit score. However, PMI is based on credit score and if you don’t have 20% to put down, you need PMI. If your credit score is not good, PMI will probably price you out of purchasing a home.
