My house was sold at a foreclosure sale…OMG, how long before I have to vacate?

I live in New York, and I had a state tax lien on the property as well. I really need some answers, I found out today, a gentleman came to my door to tell me that…such and such owned the property now. I had been working with the Mortgage company, they were getting me a release for the extra property across the street….but now they foreclosed. They also sold for a lot less than it is worth.

You should check with the state law to see how long you must be given notice, but you DO have to be given notice and I believe its usually 30 days.
